Would you happen to have an oblique pic of the back Andy to see the loops and their bases?

Its much more likely to be a Cabinet Card rather than a Carte de Visite - they are bigger (4.5 x 6.5 inches) and replaced CDVs in the 1880s.

Thanks Andy. The badge on the left is certainly a better candidate judging by the shape and colour of those ‘growing’ loops.
