Default Unknown RAF Button

Hi everyone,

I've recently bought the attached button but haven't been able to find a match online for it, can anyone identify it or tell me anything more about it at all?

I presume that it's related to the RAF, but unlike most usual RAF buttons it's silver toned and is missing either a crown above the eagle or any other identifiers. I don't believe that it has a lot of age to it as the 'Gaunt London' makers mark on the back looks fairly modern. What are people's thoughts?

Thank you for your time!

A generic button worn by small airlines and by uniformed staff at some airports etc.

Dave.

Thanks Dave I really appreciate that, shame that it's not RAF-related but I'll add it to the collection anyway

Been looking at some BOAC wartime pictures on gettyimages and it looks like this style of button was also used by Flight crews. I suspect the BOAC button with the Griffon may be post WWII
