Default Tiptaft Birmingham Buttons

I have started to gather a few Tiptaft back marked buttons.

So far I have found 2 distinctive back marks, I wonder if one is earlier?

TIPTAFT LTD BIRMINGHAM

J.W.TIPTAFT & SON LTD BIRMINGHAM (Large)
J.W.TIPTAFT & SON LTD B'HAM (Medium)

Here are the examples I have found so far, what other Regiments can be found by Tiptaft?

Rob

Looking on a silver markings site there is mention of 1909 as the date that Tiptaft went into partnership with his son, is it possible that was the date the back mark changed?

I found an old thread:

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=35148

I do not know when the firm became J.W. Tiptaft & Son Ltd.
J.W. is James Walter.

Their advertisements show focus on Commonwealth regiments.
They may have had surplus production capacity, i.e. tools and materials not commandeered by the War Office.
