Greek?
I recently acquired this badge and I think it's Greek, the loops have been cropped off but they do seem to be of the type used on British and Commonwealth badges.
Has anyone any idea what it is? Thanks in advance Rob |

Hi Rob
Despite being well outside my comfort zone this rang a definite bell . It is Edinburgh Academy [Contingents of the Junior Division (Infantry Units)] (Cox P231 #1884). Pity someone's chopped the lugs off . All the best Graham

As Chacal says it's Edinburgh Academy Officer Training Corps. Seceral die versions exist but there is no known chronological order.
Mine is here: http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ictureid=80947 I would send it to dave for repair. It's worth £20-30 even with replaced lugs. |

But the motto is ancient greek indeed. It means : "Education is the mother of wisdom and virtue" (Food to think for next week-end ....)
