Default Steam Ship Insignia. Can you help Id?

I have exhausted what sources I have on this cap badge. I believe it to be an Italian Line. Does anyone have an idea to what Line this belongs. I am guessing pre WW1 era. The photo which did not copy well is of the original owner with badge in wear..... Thanks in advance Jack.

Believe this relates to the Lloyd Trestino Company.

Regards Simon.

Thank you Simon. That gives me a direction. The halberd in the design would suggest Triest. I felt it was pre WW1 but possibly early post war.

The information here shows the change of name to Lloyds Triestino occurred in 1919 however it does not mention whether the badge changed at the same time.

Default Italian badge

Hello fm confined area !

Your badge is not Lloyd Triestino as their flag had inverted colours (Trieste hallebarde // Genoan red cross)
and the badge was different (blue with Anchor and LT letters).

your badge is for Italia di Navigazione S.p.A (1932-1998)
the crown indicate the pre-war period = 1932-1945
after 1946, the badge existed with a mural crown as other italian badge ...

All the best and keep in safe !
