Default War Service Boy Scouts & Guides collection

Thought I would share my small collection
Of these, I am hoping that some of you may have some I am missing which you may be willing to part with , if so kindly drop me a pm. If not I hope you will just enjoy seeing those items I presently have.
Notable are there The Boys life brigade war service badge and the Scouts Cycle despatch Corps shield.
Enjoy
Steve

Wonderful collection - as a long term Scout Insignia collector I can appreciate how much effort it has taken to accumulate and source these - well done.

Hi Steve,

That is an excellent collection I'd love to own. Up until very recently I was a scout leader in Tynemouth District and still have strong ties to my group.

I don't know if you are aware but your cycle dispatch corps shield has the Tynemouth coat of arms on it. It shows a fisherman and a miner with 3 crowns representing the 3 Northumbrian kings buried in Tynemouth priory. The latin motto translates as harvest from / of the deep.

I have never heard of the scout cycle dispatch corps before so I feel some research coming on.

Michael

Can I ask why you think that the "Cycle Dispatch Corps" badge is scout related? Is that an assumption on your part or do you have evidence of its use as such?

Dave.

Steve, What a truly awesome little collection. I was especially interested to see that there were different sizes of the red and yellow NS Title as I have that on my want list at some point.

Very, very nice collection and as has already been said, I am sure it has taken some real searching to come up with it!

Terry

No real evidence but it was discussed on GWF :
