I have rotated the image
Top left is a 1960's UK Boy Scout Berkshire county badge, bottom right is a UK Boy Scouts Patrol badge from the 1980's (ish) - I cannot recall which at this point in time

Steve
Bottom left (of the rotated image) looks like an award for summoning a demon, however, is it possibly for the handler of a regimental mascot "Goat Major" or such? Hope all is well Graham

191st Field Regiment (RA) formed in Yorkshire on December 1942 from soldiers of of 86th (Hertfordshire Yeomanry) and 147th (Essex Yeomanry) Field Regiments, and 30th Battalion Wiltshire Reg. The mixed design appears logical to reflect these origins (corrected to 'from soldiers of' - as written by Jon I had incorrectly assumed merger - Thanks Expat Yeoman - my error) Last edited by Mike B; 01-04-23 at 07:45 AM. |

Yes 191st Field Regt RA. Not strictly a merger as both 86 and 147 continued but each donated a Battery to form this new unit.

Corrected my post - revisited the book entry and says 'from soldiers of' as you say ... My error to assume merger - not technically correct ...
