For the health of your wonderful collection, I would use some other form of catalogue / identification label. The adhesive on the little stickers will (eventually) harm the metal - particularly silver !

KLR, you are of course correct I did try white labels on string, but they completely spoilt the look of badges in their display cases. I am in the process of cataloging my collections the BW being only one of them. Will have to make a decision soon, when you remove the stickers they do leave a witness mark.
Ron.

Another all cast s/p and gilt version with an unusual style of St. Andrew. Also brass wire loops on the reverse. On the 3d view you can see the old polish residue.

1st Bn bandsman Quetta India 1924. Can anyone make out the signature on the front? He is wearing a brass Sphinx bonnet badge, also a kilt pin. Name on reverse looks like Edward Lomer?

Silver plate and gilt badge similar to last, overlay wired to the star with four separate scrolls brazed to it. Longish loops to the reverse usage unknown. Eleven components.

WW1 adjutants peaked cap badge 34mm high.
Made of bronzed brass, two piece construction overlay brazed from the front. One blade missing from the reverse, badge is better quality in the hand than appears in the pic.

Yellow brass one piece die-struck badge with voided center. Two copper loops to the reverse. 44mm high with heavy polish to details.
My best guess is 2nd Bn mufti badge India 1902-14, but as it has loops not sure what it was worn on?

2nd Bn SNCO's glengarry badge.
A wm die-struck back star with a one piece gm overlay held by four copper wires. A wm shell brazed over the figure of St. Andrew which sits in a voided centre of the motto oval.

2nd Bn SNCOs glengarry badge.
A die-cast one piece back star made of Indian silver, a die-cast gm overlay secured to the star by a single nut and bolt. Separate silver sphinx soldered to the star through large sweat hole at the rear. Clumsy silver-soldering of St. Andrew to the voided centre, heavy gauge silver plated D shaped copper loops. Obviously Indian manufactured but a well worn and polished example shame about the broken star.

2nd Bn SNCOs Edwardian glengarry badge.
An unusual example with a central gm overlay with four separate scrolls that appear more brassy. The star is die-struck and silverplated.
The scrolls also die-struck have a greater depth than is usual.
