Default Northumberland & Berwick - duffer ?
Hi All,

thoughts on this badge on ebay please - item 224593787653(sorry - don't know how to post the link). A Northumberland & Berwick helmet plate. A duffer deliberately aged or good just in bad shape ?

I cant speak for that specific Corps but RVC plates like it could be WM, Blackened WM, Blackened Brass for other ranks and NCO's.

Officers could be Blackened silver etc.

I think it looks ok as well, but heavily corroded as mentioned. As for this seller, I have gotten some good items from him, but as always, buyer beware. Tends to be a bit pricey as well.

I’d be snapping that if it was in the realms of my collecting sphere. A good scrub up, maybe an acid dip prior to a blackening solution and you have a lovely HP. Became the 1st VB Northumberland Fusiliers.
