Unofficial Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Piper Patch
I recently picked up this patch and am not sure if I should keep it with my 7th Armored, or with my Medic patches. I have heard that it was an unofficial patch worn by this regiments pipers and that the pipers also served as medics. If that isn't correct, then I will put it with my 7th Armored collection.
Thank you for any help or information, Terry |

For your info Terry :
Nurses from 205 Scottish Field Hospital in Afghanistan wore QARANC TRF on right arm and UK flag plus 2nd Medical Brigade patch on left arm. PS. You have posted this thread in the Australian Section.

Terry your badge is shown on National Army Museum site but no mention of 'medic' connection.

Thought this may be of interest to members. Copy of an invoice to me from Ian Kelly of Kelly Badge in January 1992. Enclosed are the Medic badges he mentions. I too have a bagpiper rat badge somewhere at home.

My very sincere thanks to all. I believe my question has been answered and it now resides comfortably with my small collection of 7th Armored badges. Some really GREAT info indeed!!!
