Default Is there a way to tell if a badge is from WW1 or WW2?

I recently started collecting militaria, and I bought these two badges from a U.K. online shop. They were listed as WW1/WW2. Is there a way I can be more specific than that? They are from the South Staffordshire Regiment and the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry. I bought them from dearoldblighty.com.

They could be between 1906 to 1950's.

For what it is worth, I would take the KSLI to probably be a WW1 era badge by the slider. The S. Staffs probably later. Neither are earlier than WW1 in my opinion.

What about the slider indicates WW1?

The overall shape and crimp mark is generally typical of badges from that period, but this is not always certain.

"Vertical Shanks" (popularly known as sliders) were introduced in March 1906 - details in War Office papers in the National Archives.
(However, loops were common in the 1930s as 'sliders' were not very usable on side caps or - later berets.)

Regarding the S Staffs and KSLI, they were authorised in (respectively) 1901 and 1898 - but both had sliders affixed in 1906.
They were still in use by 1939 - probably in the 1950

.... as Alan said !
