6th King's
I may have posted this one before, if so I can't find it!
It's a 6th King's Liverpool Regiment cap badge, I've never been confident is genuine, any help appreciated. Compare the images attached, to the badge in the album linked here.https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ctureid=144359 Thanks Tony.

Tony, although it might be a bit shiny - was the lighting for the photograph - it is certainly genuine.
It is made from a die (that I have called Die 11 which not much later than 1896). I have an identical one - I also have two Firmin made (Die 1) - Vol Bn 2 (became 9th TF Bn in 1908). My second Die 1 is odd in that is in GM (identical to the first one). Then Die 11 on the right. Perfectly good badge! |

Does he flash around the nose and right front leg of the horse have any bearing on it's validity? Asking for my own knowledge.
Thanks, Terry |

No, it's just a finishing / fretting in a hurried production. I've seen various others.
(I hope he was not flashing !) |
