Default Warriors on Wheels by Park Yunnie

I have lost my favourite paper back, "Warriors on Wheels", I suspect it was borrowed by a family member but hey ho its gone.

A replacement is proving hard to find so my question is, is "Fighting with Popski's Private Army" the same book with a different title?

Thanks
Rob

I found ths copy on Abe Books, but not a cheap one to me.

https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Boo...%26sortby%3D17

This reprint under the new title seems more like it to my budget

And here it is new on Amazon UK for just a bit more.

Hope this helps,

Terry

I'm shocked !
A couple of years ago I bought a copy of the book together with Yunnie's fishing hat which had a few old cloth badges sewn onto the crown. I was particularly happy with the PPA title and the LRDG title. I have since sold all the items, but seem to remember that I got about R200 ( 10 quid) for the book. I had left a areasonably large bid for the lot and ended up getting it for a fraction of that. When I went to pick up my purchases, the auctioneer wanted to know why I was prepared to pay so much for a book and an old fishing hat. I was suitably vague as this sort of insight tends to be "used against you" in future deals.
Good luck with your search
Mike

Mike, thanks for sharing the story about Bob Yunnie's fishing hat, a tremendous find!

Since the thread brings up the topic of Yunnie's book, I have a question I'd love to get the Forum's help with. Does anyone know of an example of Yunnie's signature? I ask because I have a nice 1959 first edition of "Warriors on Wheels," and it has an autograph on the half-title page. It's so stylized that I can't make out the letters of the signature, but it's dated 20 May 1959, just after the book was published. I'm wondering if it's possible the signature is Yunnie's, who died in 1961. Any help solving the question, one way or another, would be much appreciated.

Stay well,
Donovan
