British Frontier Service cap question
Hi Folks
Does anyone have a British Frontier Service cap that they can post pics of? My question is if these were Royal Navy issue or locally manufactured in Germany. Cheers Sean

Hi Sean
I worked along side the the BFS at ACP Alpha in Helmstedt in the mid 80's, there uniform was similar to HM Customs in that period a sort of RN / MN Officer's uniform although they preferred to wear a HD pullover with silver fabric rank indications. Most had that period type Navy cap with a removable white cover and there own WM cap badge. The cap buttons were the black fabric type. Sorry no images. Regards Steve

BFS
Just for interest here is my collection of BFS (and variants) cap badges.
I am missing the FRONTIER INSPECTION SERVICE badge which would come in between the 1st & 2nd badges. Jerry
