Most unlikely after you’ve highlighted it to a forum of literally thousands of badge collectors and dealers with 6 days 23hrs to run…

Chumming the water I believe is the term.

Default eBay

Yep just introduced EBay to thousands of people who didn’t know about it. Doh. This is actually my brothers, sisters boys badge so I thought I’d do my bit. I’m sticking a few dodgy bids on it later just to bump the price up.

Some people go mad buying restrikes while some nice genuine items go cheap personally I never have much luck buying things cheap but seem to be good at selling things cheap. It’s an auction anything can happen who knows.

Cool Norfolk Yeomanry

You could of course have offered it here on the forum for sale, I'm sure you would get a fair price for it.

So you’ve a vested interest in this auction and are drumming up attention?

As you said ‘do your bit’ you’ve totally contradicted your first sentence where you insinuate it won’t make a difference.

I didn’t know we were allowed to advertise friends / families auctions on here…

Seems underhand to me especially if not declared. Something else that may be worth setting out in rules.

I’m sure we all have friends and family who regularly sell on eBay or may even be dealers, if we started helping out their businesses and interests by flagging things on here I think that’s worthy of a ethical discussion as to if it should be allowed as such a person is acting as an agent of the business without disclosing this. Then there’s obviously the question of if there’s any gain for them too.

P.S. do let me know what items you’re after so I can announce them on here if it makes no difference.

Default Badge

Luke it’s a joke i I’m not selling this badge I’ve no idea who’s selling it. It’s priced low was my initial point. Everybody on this forum has a sense of humour failure with me I’m not sure why I’ve done nobody any wrong.

Default Die cast

Holyboy , By rule of thumb Die cast badges are usually officers . I had !!!! and passed onto another forum member an 8th Kings Royal Irish Hussars cap badge kk762 (officers sil/gilt) which had its lugs replaced by a slider . Yes this is a scarce rare badge only ever seen two .

Not a rare badge, but, I certainly don't think twenty quid is expensive these days.
