Default KOYLI Kitchener blue cap

Gentlemen
I would like to share a very nice side cap I have had some time with improvised cap badge !

Nice. The use of a collar badge pre-dated the full size cap badges and for some regts was retained on the FSC. Several regts wore these blue FSC around the turn of the century. If you ever get to Dorchester their is a Dorsets one on display there with their sphinx collar badge on it.

It may be OBLI rather than KOYLI as the KOYLI collar was used on their hats.

Good morning Alan,
Thank you! In this Kitchener cap I think the reason why there isn’t the correct badge in place is because that the equipment was not available. I have the photo of the owner wearing it in camp he was later killed first day of the Somme and his brother crippled later in the war.
