Default A Ukrainian puzzle

This patch came in a tin from a mate years ago, about 1995. Much of it linked to his Grandad's and Dad's service at the back end of WW2 and the 1960s.
In the tin was this little fella.
It says, quite simply Ukrainian, is yello on blue on green.
Any knowledge would be appreciated.
Thank you
Matti

Could it be a United Nations shoulder title for Ukrainian peace keepers?

But it would have been when Ukraine was part of the USSR....

Indeed and would have to have been post 1948 to be a U.N. badge. It also occurs to me that if the Soviets allowed their vassal states to serve independently, it would say Ukraine. As it says Ukrainian I would suggest that the second part of the title is missing.

Hi, there were a lot of Ukrainians working on mine clearance in the UK. They had their own camps and moved around from location to location. Originally they had been working for the Germans and were captured after D-Day so could not go home, unless they had a death wish. I think the title may come from this period, it certainly isn't Ukraine manufacture, best wishes Mike

That is fascinating, thank you. The script is not Cyrillic and the style British.

Also appears to have the second word missing...’corps’ or similar?

I believe that gold/yellow on blue are the Ukranian national colours.
