Go to the address bar at the top. Click on the url where it says ebay.com, delete the m and add dot uk and then press enter. This should then revert you to the uk site.

My problem with eBay at the moment is that images of militaria I look at on the site are ending up being displayed on my wife's facebook page or watsapp or whatever the ruddy thing is.
I don't do facebook or any of that sociable stuff, so I don't know why eBay's grassing me up with incriminating photos of pikelhaubes, cap badges, forage caps, field service caps .............. I don't need attention being drawn to my activities. |

I have a problem with "long running scripts" what ever that is! Only with ebay.

Advertising is all about advertisements based on the data they have collected on you. Competent companies hire cloud space all over the world to prevent delays in delivering advertisements. E-bay hauls them long-distance and lets you wait until it arrives. I have two browsers (IExplorer and Firefox). Firefox has an Ad-blocker stopping the ads. IExplorer has huge delays because of these scripts waiting for the advertisement to arrive. Firefox is fast. Many websites block visitors using an ad-blocker. If I really want to know what is displayed, IE is giving me access. I hope this helps. Last edited by btns; 17-05-18 at 03:04 PM. Reason: typo |

I guess you and your wife are sharing the same computer and the same account . As Facebook thinks you are one user only, it is feeding your wife paid advertisements with military items. I am thinking of two options (): stop looking at badges OR get your wife off Facebook and have her delete her account. |

No, no shared computer, no shared account, so I don't know how the link between my eBay account and her sociable person's account is made.

She may have used your computer once(!) to log onto facebook. One step - I am not sure if it helps - is to clear your history and cookies every time you close your browser. Last edited by btns; 17-05-18 at 03:08 PM. Reason: update |

Why not distract her by looking at a few porn sites? She'll be so ticked at those that a few badges can easily slip under the radar - hanged for a sheep and all that.

The postman delivered another badge fix a couple of days ago and said that as he hadn't delivered for a few days he'd been worried that my internet connection had been down (he's an understanding sort who realises that there's no room for truth and honesty in a marriage and that militaria is best delivered covertly in a plain brown wrapper). |
