Here's my final offering - I've run out of variants (Mr. Punch examples notwithstanding).

If anyone has an example of this badge in better nick, I'd be grateful for a couple of pics. This one has seen better days; looks as though it might have been in the ground at some point.

I thought briefly it might be a Woodward badge because of the slider, but on comparison, it's a good three to four millimetres longer than Woodard examples.

Superb. Thanks gents.

She's not going to break any hearts, is she? Poor thing.

I note the different sliders. Nozzer's being the same as my example.

Great stuff, as ever.

I think may have found the Regulars' Vic/Edw version of the 1VB badge I posted here:

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...2&postcount=24

I'm sure someone will have this variant - perhaps they might be good enough to post clearer images if so?

A badge I no longer own, but still have a couple of photos of.Do

This is mine and it came from a Boer War era collection in South Africa.

That 1st VB badge is nowhere near the quality of the 2nd & 4th I have.

Alan
The definition on yours is pretty sharp, Alan. The leaves on the olive sprig are well-defined. Doesn't appear to be too much wear 'n' tear at all. Wondering if there is a slidered version of this variant?

Many thanks,

JT

And are your 2nd & 4th examples the same variant/die, Keith?

This one? I don't have a picture of the reverse at present.

It certainly looks like it, Andy. Nice one.
