And here’s the final piece of the puzzle https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/badge-cap...5605%7Ciid%3A1
Use of the word ‘old’ with some of these is very subjective T. But they are indeed very, very fake. |

Just to warn members this joker is back selling duff badges on eBay. Same name, same yellow background, same fake badges. From a ‘house clearance’ this time...

Thanks for the heads-up everyone. Anybody selling anything pre-partition Ireland on eBay should be treated with extreme caution. Im not sure I've seen anything other than fakes.

Actually I have seen many good pre '22 Irish badges on epay. Although it is unfortunate that most are indeed bad, if one knows his badges, plenty of good ones are to be had as well.

A great many original badges available on ebay, the majority being sold by people who know their business, so very few bargains to be had.

Absolutely right Frank and CB - there are some cracking finds to be had on eBay. My daily fix often comes up trumps, so it's always worth a look.

Ebay is okay if you know who you are buying from, bargains can be found on occasion and they tend to be from sellers who know little about badges.
There are a number of dealers who use it as a way to sell, but, they do tend to use buy it now rather than auction their wares off, although, some do accept best offer. |
