Default "GVIR" CROWNED in wreath - What is it ? please

I have acquired this badge.
It is impressed "FIRMIN LONDON"
Measures approx. 34 mm x 45 mm
Crown has enamel paint, the metal looks like it has been gilted.
I thought it had something to do with Norfolk.

It appears something was suspended from it and the more knowlegable would understand the significance of the difference in the foliage surround!

Hi Freddy

Sorry to say I don't know what it is but I agree with "Pembird" - it would appear to have had something suspended from the reverse and the unusual wreath is probably of some significance.

I was wondering why you thought it had a Norfolk connection? Are you thinking along the lines of it being worn by staff at Sandringham perhaps?

Hi,
At first glance I thought it was a Territorial Efficiency Decoration, but they are Oak leafed all around not Laurel and Oak.
Looking at the size it may be some kind of sweetheart device??

Doodles

I've got a picture of one of these with a queen's crown & EIIR cypher and have it annotated as "Former Honorary Chaplain to the Queen Breast Badge" so would suggest it is a Former Honorary Chaplain to the King Breast Badge. Oak leaves one side and laurel leaves the other is common to RACD cap badges.

This is the badge for a HONORAY CHAPLIN worn on the stole I believe. I know there are versions for GVR, GV1R & E11R- see attached. If you are passing it on please PM me.
