At a fair the other week, my daughter decided she wanted to buy these, mainly due to the fact her name starts with an M & she's 8
BUT.....now she wants to know exactly what they are so it's over to you experts to help set her off on the collecting bug!!

Very dangerous letting an 8 year old daughter ( or son ) start collecting insignia, I was not much older when I first started collecting and now over 50 years later it is still an obsession.

I agree they look like police collar numbers.

P.B.

I realise it's a dangerous situation but I like yourself started at an early age & it's only got worse! I'm quite glad she's interested in militaria too, that plus Doctor Who, playing electric guitar & Chelsea Football Club........& now suddenly I realise I am creating a mini-me!!!

The one redeeming item on that list is the guitar... perhaps just a suspended under-the-stairs sentence in this case?

4 out of 4 there Andy. I can live without Doctor Who if need be though, and I haven't picked up my Gibson SG for a few years now but I still look at some of those guitars in Denmark Street with envy.

Ah well she loves Doctor Who, probably as much as I did as a kid! She's only recently started the guitar lessons & her teacher is amazed at how quickly she is picking everything up - at present we are getting continous renditions of 'smoke on the water' 'wonderwall' & 'seven nation army'!!!

Great result today eh? Let my nephew have my tickets but I should be well enough to start going back to matches soon
