Laurie Osborne RIP
Many of you may already know, but for those of you who do not, Laurie Osborne passed away peacefully on 13th of this month aged 89. Many people will have dealt with "trivet" on Trade Me over the years as a keen bidder or as a seller as he sold off his extensive collection at ambitious prices. Many of us will have badges in our collections that passed through Laurie's hands, and many, like me, had the pleasure of drooling over his collection. Many will have also experienced the "pain" of trying to extract an item from him. Rest in Peace Laurie. Not many of the old badge collectors left in NZ now.

Laurie always drove a hard bargain, He would offer one badge of his for two of yours. We will miss him on the badge collecting scene. John |

I was one of the lucky ones to see Laurie's badge collection in its entirety , and one could only say ''wow'' . Certainly no bargains to be had from old Laurie , he knew the value of a dollar . Cheers Iain D

Over the years Laurie helped me many times sharing information and pictures of his collection, a true loss to the NZ badge collecting community.

Lauries other passion
Whilst Laurie was into his badges he also was proud of his wife of 60+ years and their family.

A great New Zealand collector. I only visited him once but was very impressed with his knowledge and collection.
