Default 107 Battalion CEF

I was lucky enough to have been gifted a 107th badge this Christmas. Finished in a coppery metal. It has been broached in a diagonal way with fixings on the head and near rear leg / tail. As no signs of removed lugs, blades etc is this where the original fixings would have been on this badge. I believe they served in F and F as pioneers? Can people confirm both points.

Many thanks.

Hi
Yes the 107 is seen with large pin attached diagonally. I assume produced as a sweetheart, but also post war by Hemsley. I have seen an advert of theirs selling their CEF badges with a brooch pin, again I assume for veterans and collectors.
One of my favourite badges
All the best
Dan
