Default Bronze Tyne RA collars....

Guys,
Have a pair of 7 flame Officer's bronze collars , with the name 'Tyne' replacing the normal 'Ubique'.
Can find no information on these, period of use, unit size, etc
Assume they were a larger RGA unit?
Can anyone help here?
My thanks,in advance !
Cheers !
Steve

Mike H, RE have 9 flames!

However the Tyne Electrical Engineers did convert to RA in 1939 as 37th (TEE) LAA Regiment RA (TA)

Suspended animation 1944

1947 Reconstituted as 537th (M) LAA / SL Regiment RA. (Tyne Electrical Engineers) (TA)

1955 Finally amalgamated with other Durham Regt's to become 439th LAA Regt RA (TA) the (TEE) surviving as P (TEE) & Q (TEE) Bty's.

1956 Amalgamated out of existance 439th (TYNE) LAA Regt RA (TA)

The Collars are for 537th (M) LAA / SL Regiment RA. Bronze Officers Brass OR's

I have seen the smaller TYNE Engineer's collars B4, but these are the big 'chunky' Bronze style. Have seen T-RGA-TYNEMOUTH titles & wondered if these were from the same unit ??
Cheers !
Steve

Default (M) LAA/SL Regt

Close, but unfortunately no cigar (M) in this instance would refer to Mixed (Male and Female personnel),

More info is available in a forthcoming book on RA Abbreviation which I can supply details of if anyone is interested.
