Default can anyone help identify

Hi to all,my first posting.
My father is the badge collector,but not a computer fan.
On his behalf, can anyone tell me more about this badge,i guess, by its motto ,its artillery ,but why no gun?also what is its age?Can anyone tell me if its the real thing or a restrike.

Looks like a Royal Engineers officer's pouch badge to me.
