Default Indian irregular cavalry, need advice.

I having some trouble pinning down the 5th Irregular Cavalry (Gough's Horse), some sources seem to mix them up with the 5th Bengal Native Cavalry. Or perhaps it's me who's confused.

5th Bengal Light (or is it Local?) Cavalry also in the mix...

PLEASE explain, THANKS

ps primarily interested with the above in the First Afghan War (Cabul medal) & Jellalabad with later Maharajpore.

Before 1823: Gough's Horse →

1823: 5th Bengal Local Horse →

1840: 5th Bengal Irregular Cavalry.

→ mutinied.

And when you prefer to see this in a web page instead of a PDF: https://hcvv.home.xs4all.nl/milweb/B...nges-1824.html

And to reach the earlier and later charts through history: https://hcvv.home.xs4all.nl/milweb/B...lry/index.html

Or including other arms: https://hcvv.home.xs4all.nl/milweb/B...dia/index.html

Always happy with corrections and additions.
