Default Rand Rifles WW1 query

Did the Rand Rifles -- that is, the unit that existed 1914-1919 and which served in German South West Africa -- have their own insignia? If not, what badge/title did they wear?

I'm aware that there was a Boer War regiment of the same name, but this enquiry is not about that unit.

Colin Owen has 2 entries in his book for the WWI Rand Rifles and a separate one for the ABW Rand Rifles

I think it important to bare in mind that during the Anglo Boer War, the Rand Rifles was actually, in effect, simply the Johannesburg Town Guard and had many interesting men within it's ranks, including members of Lord Milner's administration, it was not anything like a regiment within the subsequent Transvaal Volunteers.

Frank, obviously this would be after the British occupation of Johannesburg?

Yes indeed, Lord Milner had established his provisional administration upon setting up shop!
