Default Recent Scottish finds

Hi Forum members,
I'd like to show a small group of Scottish badges recently acquired and would be grateful for comments.

The Scottish Cadets badge has yellow felt backing held in place by the central lug. Any particular unit?

Is the small Perthshire badge a collar for the 4th (Perthshire) Volunteer Battalion, Black Watch, or something else?

The St Andrews University OTC badge has "U.T.C." on bottom scroll. Is this a mistake or is there another title for this unit?

I'm not sure about the Edinburgh Arms badge. Is it military, police or other?

Thanks,
John

The badge with KA is Kelvinside Academy OTC. Bloomer has the double headed eagle as the 4th (Perthshire) Vol Bn The Black Watch 1882-1908.

I have hard cash available fro the KA badge should you want to sell it! Do PM me if you are looking to move it on.

The Scottish cadets was worn by non OTC cadet units 1930s and 40's. It is nothing to do with London Scottish as Bosleys incorrectly sell them as..

As most are Scottish OTC badges , double headed eagle may be Glenalmond College ?

Thank you all, for your help,

Especially confirming the Edinburgh Police badge. When, and on what headgear, would it have been worn?

Also, that the St Andrews UTC is correct. And confirming the Merchiston Castle badge.

Would the double-headed eagle be a hat badge or a collar for Glenalmond College?

Thanks again,
John
