The smaller crown above the eagle(?) looks Ethiopian so maybe a link with Italian East Africa?

Rather unclear picture but it looks very much like a mufti lapel badge for Italians who served in the Abyssinia campaign.It has a standard Italian lapel fitting.

Confirmation from Italy it is Italian crown and Savoia cross but my Italian Cavalry friend dose not know what it is Macandpud....
May be Motor Sport..........was very popular at the time.........I remember a 3rd. Hussars sporting an Italian Motor sport badge they'd picked up in Libya on front of one of their cars when they visited us in Barce.
