I'm sure to be proved wrong but, on the right:
14th Prince of Wales's Own Cavalry, Scinde Horse. I do not believe that this regiment served in Italy, so he was possibly on the staff of an Indian Division there. |

The badge worn by the Captain on left in the picture looks to me as though it is that of the Mahratta Light Infantry. I will try to download a picture

IAC
On reflection and after consultation with with an expert on the British-Indian Army of that period, I believe that the officer on the right is wearing an Indian Armoured Corps badge (IAC in a wreath)
