With out my books....

Badge with ship is a cap badge. 9th Madras Native Infantry.

31MC is a shoulder title. 31st Mule Corps.

I think the Erinpura shoulder title is the 43rd Native Infantry.

The 3rd Skinners Horse, I am not sure if that is a title or pouch badge....erm 3rd Skinners Horse.

All good genuine badges.

As you can see I had the 9th Madras recently and sold it for £75 to a dealer so it's got to be worth more.

Totally missed your thread lampwick. The Railway Rifles badge has to be worth a pretty penny.

Sounds like he got a bargain. There are some Indian businessmen who are bonkers about anything to do with railways as well as the postal service. Good quality items always make large amounts of money. Its knowing who to contact when your selling, thats the trick.

Question

Hi,
Thank you very much for your answers!
But, could you say me the dates of the bearing of these badges?
WW1 or WW2?
Know you the value of the cap badge of the Chineese regiment?
Kind regards
luidgi

They are all pre 1922 in my opinion Luidgi. If you use Google you should be able to find the dates for yourself by typing in the regiments names listed above.

Do you mean the Chinese Labour Corps badge Luidgi as worn during WW1? I think those are a little over 100 pounds with both of the rear fixings intact.

My mistake the badge on your board is the Tientsin 1st Chinese Regiment. It is a very rare and desirable badge. It was disbanded in 1902.

The "3rd Skinner's Horse" is a shoulder title from 1903-1922.
The ship is indeed the 9th Madras N.I., pre-1903 [very nice!]
and the Erinpura shoulder title is the 43rd from the 1903-22 period [they were disbanded in 1922].

The Gurkha DMP is for the Darrang Military Police Battalion worn 1913-1915 Should be in White metal most likely cast. They became part of the 4th Batt Assam Rifles. A nice badge.
regards
Steve
