Default Ranking of Cavalry badges

I would be obliged if some of you could compile a list of the badges I have in their order of rarity and desirability. Many Thanks.

This is one heck of a question to answer would need a great deal of knowledge in a very specialist area which sadly i do not ahve. With the exception of the 27th lancers (copy) they all look to be indian. Rarity is absolute, there is a definative number of genuine badges in circulation. Desirbility is not, it is subjective and variable depending how badly somebody wants a badge. With indian badges being sand cast as well as die struck did anyone actually keep record of how many badges were made? I look forward to seeing some responses on this.
Kind regards, Dave

Hi Terry,
Great lot of Indian badges you have. I guess the only way to really know the relative value or scarcity of each badge is to offer it for sale. In other words, accept what the market dictates.
But, wouldn't you rather keep this lot?
Cheers, Tinto

Terry

Tinto is right! You're asking someone to spend a lot of time on this. For some of the cavalry badges, Google "Arctic Medals, Calgary, Alberta, Canada". I just sold Mike a lot of about 50 Indian badges, some of which are on sale there and more of which will likely appear soon.

That will give you some IDs and some RETAIL prices. If you hope to sell yours, unless you are prepared to spend a LOT of time on individual sales, through E-bay or whatever, you'll need to sell them in lots to a dealer and can expect to get considerably less than retail!

Are you planning to sell them Lampwick?

just wish there was some way to get them nicely photographed individually before you do, to get some sort of 'Indian corner' started on the forum
