Did anyone else see this on E bay :

There were a number of Liverpool Home Guard unit with Pipe Bands, see here:

But nothing to suggest that this might have been an actual example worn by an HG unit .Amazing that an item can fetch over £200 with no provenance, I am sure the vendor must be very happy.

peter , i`ll see ray young either later or tomorrow and ask nis opinion , maybe he has /knows liverpool HG badge/s

A glengarry with leather sweatband is considered to date from around WWI and as such very collectable.
