Royal Army Education Corps Field Officer's Forage Cap c1953.
The Army Educational Corps was formed in 1920 and granted the title "Royal" in 1946. In 1992 it became the Educational and Training Services branch of the Adjutant General's Corps.
This cap bears the King's Crown version of the RAEC insignia, the badge being of silver and gilt finish and the buttons of anodised aluminium. The manufacturer's markings include the usual "By Appointment" but to the late King George VI, indicating manufacture circa early - mid 1950's. Last edited by leigh kitchen; 24-01-19 at 09:16 AM. |
