Can anyone help with this one, I assume its a Volunteers cap badge but any suggestions as to which battalion?
Thanks Tony.

Would love to know myself! A recent thread shows another example, and a further example appears in an album. Now knowing thanks to Henk that versions exist for each of the 4 Norfolk VB units, I’m stumped as to who used this badge. My only other guess is due to a post by KLR who shows the Army Order stating that the newly formed TF units of 1908 had to wear a WM version of their parent regiments whilst in ‘walking out’ dress. Perhaps these WM Norfolk badges are for that purpose?

Options are:
A VB badge worn prior to the named ones. Post 1908 TF walking out Pre 1908 militia. I had assumed that it might be a 1 VB badge but have since found out that a 1VB scroll one does exist. So I believe it is most likely to be a Militia badge which ties in with the lugs. Alan |
