what period these 30th NSW Scottish badges
hi all
here are 2 slightly different 30th NSW Scottish badges. is there a way of determining from which period they are from or are the differences manufacturers variations thanks in advance bc |

BC, from the book Scarlet and Tartan, by Martin J Buckley, your first badge is described as the glengarry badge of 1935 to early 1960s. The other one may be a cross belt badge, although it looks to be bent for wear on the glengarry.

My observation is that the pre-war badges were flat and post war slightly curved.

thanks guys
that's what i suspected the first badge is fairly flat and a flat whitemetal where as the other badge is significantly curved and almost has a frosted finish cheers bc |
