How extraordinary. How old is the post box and why is there an 'over-lay'? Nothing would surprise me about RM at the moment given the ongoing debacle, but someone with limited heraldic knowledge needs to be educated! Probably retired now - or worse!

Given the "GR" and the style of crown it's obviously a King George III postbox..........

(Joking, joking).

The style of GR is indicative of KGV.
