ooooohhhhhhhh, I knew somebody would say that! Well, I kind of like them both but opted for red. Like you say,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Anyway, it's the easiest thing to paint or repaint if I decide to change it in the future........... or right away. I'll have to give it some though.

Yes, the pearls and jewels, some touch-ups where I went over the lines, finish the topography on the globe, do the chain, black hooves, black dots on the sable head band. Perhaps some highlights on the burgundy headliner. Perhaps some shading on the horse. It's nearly there.

Default TA DA!

Righto, done. Ian, when you're right, you're right. I liked the red but it didn't grow on me enough. Back to yellow. It was a fun project and as the purest act of vanity I put a red dot over my house on the map. You have to know where you belong right?

Default 40th Tech Sqn RCEME

A long time ago (1966 - 1968) I was a young Craftsman (Private) in 30th Tech Sqn RCEME in St Catharines Ontario under the student soldier programme. I never saw one of these plaques at the time but of course there were many spaces that I was never allowed to enter in the armoury. I think that you have done a really fine job of bringing this wonderful piece of history alive again. Thank you for sharing that process with us and, in my case, bringing back a lot of memories.

Default Congrats

Sorry, busy weekend. All the Triduum services for Easter, plus cleaning up water flooding in the Church hall basement, or I would have responded sooner.

That being said, I want to offer my congradulations on an outstanding job of restoration on this plaque. Hope you had a good deal of fun in this effort and that it gives you pleasure in the years to come. Well done you. Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back.

Ian
