Default JU 88A-1 Crashed at Gatwick 30th September 1940

This JU 88A-1 crashed at Gatwick race course on 30th September 1940, having been shot up by ack ack fire.

The plane was put on display at Primrose Hill in London to raise money for the war effort.

Gatwick race course, along with the pre-war Gatwick aerodrome, is now a part of Gatwick, London's second airport.
