Arrow Mystery 22. G. 1 cloth badge

Good day folks

This cloth badge was found amongst the military belongings of a Polish soldier who fought with the 2nd Polish Corps in Italy during WW2. It is printed cloth of a similar style to many military badges but I have never seen anything like this before.

It may be simply a laundry number or something just as mundane. But it was preserved with his medals, shoulder badges etc.

Any thoughts?

Many thanks

James
