A "possible" ID of the Brigadier in the middle.
Brigadier Edmund Frank "Trotsky" Davies (Royal Ulster Rifles). He had the DSO (1945) as well as MC (1920 Mesopotamia) and bar (1938 Palestine). Was SOE, parachuted into Albania (later wounded and captured) and ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/C1588-Brig...p2047675.l2557 http://www.specialforcesroh.com/show...Frank-(Trotsky) A photo in which he is identified. https://soetrails.files.wordpress.co...lly-mclean.png and something additional found http://www.britisharmedforces.org/li...mages/ILN6.jpg Captioned - On inspection journey by armoured car along the railway from Jerusalem to Artuf: Brigadier Edmond F. Davies, commanding the 9th Infantry Brigade. Last edited by Blackadder1916; 24-06-17 at 07:59 PM. Reason: to add additional links and info |
