East Lancashire TA or Armoured
I bought the attached badge from Ebay. Believe it to be absolutely genuine - but I stand to be corrected. The fact it has been brooched reinforces this in my view. Also looks like the rose has been applied. My understanding is that the all WM version TA badge had a blank scroll. This is all WM but has "Egypt" on the scroll. Am I right in thinking this might be from an a battalion that was armoured in WWII?

The badge has been made with a brass rose as is evident from the brasing hole on reverse.
There is evidence of a slider which have been replaced with a brooch fitting: the placing suggest it predates WW2. A WW2 badge would have the slider behind the crown.

It's a standard East Lance cap badge isn't it? White metal with a brass rose. Brooched, which is very typical sweetheart or mufti badge during WW1.

No, the rose a WM. However, where the very centre has been rubbed brass is showing through. Also, the rose is applied rather than being a single stamping.
