Default DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS BORNEO FS BEING WORN

I had never seen an image of the FS for D Ops Borneo being worn until today. Here it is for those who wish to see it. Copied from redcap70.

Don't want to be more pedantic than usual but the Commander and HQ were entitled Director of Borneo Operations aka DOBOPS. The bird is a Borneo sea eagle and HQ was located far from the front line on Labuan Island. My home for a year (Plaman Mapu, First Division, Sarawak aka Red 336):

Thank you for the correct designation. Hurried amendments being made to collections as I write.

Tim,
I doublechecked my failing memory with the Singapore Dawnwatchers website - if you don't know it, some of the faces there will bring a smile (I hope) to your face, as will the unofficial variant of the Singapore District formation sign - with hungover tiger! Useful Int Corps Far East OOB included too.
Mike
