Default Resizing Images

I tried uploading a couple of photos tonight and the files are apparently too big. I've never had that issue before in all my years on the forum. Has something changed and is there a way to reduce the size of the files to be able to upload them?

Thanks in advance, Bill

Hello Bill,

It may be that your images/files have been saved as bitmap/BMP (or other). If you save them as jpeg, and then attempt to upload them, you may have more success.

Hi JT,

Thanks but all my images are jpg files taken on my phone mostly. Just thought, might be something in the phone settings as it's a new phone.

I'll have a look at the quality of image on the phone as it might be set to high.

Bill

I don’t know if it’s tech advancing too quickly, or my increasingly age-addled brain struggling to adapt, but I am becoming less and less savvy when it comes to these sorts of things.

Right click on the image, select resize, select the size you want and save.
