Default Glosters/Rifles back badge.

Is this the rifles back badge. It has been chromed and has a Firmin and Sons logo. Also is it an officer's as it has officer style tangs,
Any info gratefully received.

The blades are designed so that the badge fits to the black hat band but doesnt actually pierce the rear of the cap .

Dress guidance states that it can be worn by ACF cadets in Berkshire and Wiltshire as well as Gloucestershire ACF.
As for adult soldiers companies in 6 and 7 Rifles that were RGBWLI formerly..

Thanks Paul and Mike, I thought I had read that ACF wore it. Strange that the Regular Rifles don't wear a back badge on the beret.

The Regulars derive from many battalions such as the D&D and LI and have no affinity with the Glosters. The ACF kept the badge on the beret against the wishes of many who wanted to keep the Rifles as a brand without such things.

Yet the regulars (and all RIFLES battalions) do wear the back badge on the cap? Consistent with the “golden threads”?
