Default Picture frame with a Dark past

Picture frame with a Dark past

I went to a car boot today and saw this picture frame and thought ideal for Casualty Frame or medal display,

Blackened plaster surface £3 in need of a little repair, walking home I took a closer look at the labels

Sold by an art dealer in Reagent Street London but then take a look at the owners label
Sir Oswald Mosley Bart 5th Baronet.

Father of Sir Oswald Mosley 6th Baronet leader of the Black Shirts British Fascist Union so as I describe a frame with a Dark History,

Mosley and his wife lived near Eccleshall Staffs later in life less than 12 miles from where I found it today in Stafford.

Oswald Junior would have inherited this item.

Just an oddity with a lot of history

Regards

Stephen
