Default Interesting photo from the media today.

I don't think I've ever seen a subdued SAS wing being worn before. The individual wearing it is undoubtedly the real deal: I met him a couple of years ago.

'Bear' Grylls wears them on his Royal Marines uniforms and I have seen a (very) few others do likewise. The SBS did so more often in their early days (post 2003) - hence having a subdued wing issued. I have a Tantalus shirt with one worn by a former SSM there. Nowadays it tends to just be senior officers who are former SBS.
