Liverpool CLC Ceremony
Maybe it is just what I read, but I didn't notice this in the British papers.
A ceremony for five members of the Chinese Labour Corps who died in Liverpool in 1918 was recently held. This is from the English language, "South China Morning Post" printed in Hong Kong: https://www.scmp.com/news/world/euro...edium=referral Were there any "German gunboats in the Mediterranean" in 1917?

Pleased that you found it of interest.
I have just read it again and spotted something that I had missed before. That a member of the CLC was called Soo, and remained in England opening a laundry. I don't know how common a name Soo is, but is it possible that the CLC Soo linked up with the Soo family who were already in Liverpool? Frank Soo, the footballer, was born in the UK in 1914 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY-gOe2U_88

Interesting, looks like 131474 was given a new head stone for the occasion, if you compare it to a photo I took in 2011.
