RTR black sash

Hi folks

A bit off assistance required from you Tankies.

I have a sash identical to that worn by Infantry SNCO's apart from its black.

When I was given it many years ago I was told that it was worn by the Orderly Officers Duty NCO.

Is this correct or is it something else, I certainly haven't seen any photos of it being worn.

I have "heard" of RTR NCOs wearing a black sash but have no idea where I heard or read it.

Thanks Leigh, just spotted two 6GR soldiers wearing black sash in a photo on the web but it doesn't say who or why.
